1. What is a Bank Freedom Prepaid MasterCard® Card?
A Card Account is better than a checking account! As soon as you add money to your card account you can make purchases for goods and services at millions of locations everywhere MasterCard debit cards are accepted worldwide, get cash at over 1,000,000 ATMs that display the MasterCard, Maestro, or Cirrus acceptance marks and pay all your bills from your card account online or by sending checks from your card account. 2. How do I use my Bank Freedom Card? –The Bank Freedom Prepaid MasterCard is accepted at millions of locations worldwide. What does that mean to you? You can make purchases at retailers, over the Internet, over the telephone, and from catalogs. You can use it to make reservations for restaurants, hotels, rental cars and much more.
- At the Store – When making purchases at the store, simply hand the merchant your card and when they ask, "Debit or Credit?" just reply "Credit" and sign for your purchase and there is no fee.
- Debit at the Grocery Store - If you choose Debit you will be asked to enter your PIN at the checkout stand. Based on the stores policy you may be able to get cash over the purchase amount when selecting Debit at the checkout stand. There is a small $0.95 fee for PIN based transactions. Remember purchases where you don’t enter your PIN are free.
- Over the Internet – You may use your Bank Freedom Prepaid MasterCard when making purchases over the Internet. You may be asked to enter your address as well as the CVV number (3 digit number that is on the back of the card).
- Making Reservations – You can use the Bank Freedom Prepaid MasterCard to make reservations for hotels, rental cars, and restaurants. Depending on the reservation, the merchant may require more funds on the card than are required for the reservation. If you authorize a transaction for a rental car or hotel room, we reserve the right to hold up to an additional $100 dollars for up to 60 days in case of incedential damages. These funds will be returned to you after you check out of your hotel or return the automobile rental and the transaction has been processed by the merchant.

3. How can I access the funds I loaded on my card? - You can get cash from your Bank Freedom Prepaid MasterCard at the store and at an ATM.
- Cash at the Store – When checking out at the register, choose Debit and ask for CASH OUT. It’s easy and a great way to get cash. It’s only $0.95 per transaction.
- Cash at an ATM – You can get up to $500 per day at any ATM displaying the MasterCard, Maestro, or Cirrus logos. That's over a 1,000,000 ATM's worldwide. There is a fee of $1.95 per transaction plus any fee charged by the owner of the ATM machine.

4. How much cash can I withdrawal at an ATM?
Your prepaid card has a set ATM withdrawal limit of $500 per day. However, some ATM's have set limits that may be less than your card's limit.

5. Can I add cash to my card at the Store? – Adding cash to your Bank Freedom Prepaid MasterCard is simple and convenient. Load Cash to your card account totaling $700 or more a month through Moneypaks and we will waive the $5.95 Monthly Fee. Go to any Green Dot retailer and get a Green Dot MoneyPak. Using the MoneyPak to load cash onto your card is easy.
- Go to a Green Dot MoneyPak retailer near you (find a retailer)
- Purchase a MoneyPak.
- Call the number on the package to apply the money to your card. The cash will be immediately applied to your card.

6. Is Direct Deposit really FREE? – There are many ways to add cash to your Bank Freedom Prepaid MasterCard. The best and most convenient way to add money is to use direct deposit. When you receive your card in the mail, be sure to complete the direct deposit form and give it to your payroll department. The monthly fee of $5.95 is waived when you set up direct deposit with a minimum deposit of $350 a month. 7. Can I pay at the pump for gasoline?
Yes. You will need to have a minimum available balance of $55 to $100 (amount varies depending on the gas stations policy). If you purchase gas at the pump and the merchant obtains an authorization for $55, Bank Freedom will hold this amount for the merchant. If the total purchase comes to $40, the merchant will complete the transaction by collecting on the $40. The remaining $15 will be released back into your prepaid card account.

8. What is the minimum balance required to rent a car?
You need at least 15% above the authorized security deposit amount to rent a car. If you authorize a transaction for a rental car, we reserve the right to hold up to an additional $100 dollars for up to 60 days in case of incedential damages. These funds will be returned to you after you check out of your hotel or return the automobile rental and the transaction has been processed by the merchant.

9. Can I close my Bank Freedom Prepaid Card account and withdraw my money?
Yes. You have two choices to do this, either withdraw your money at an ATM or you can also request the funds be sent to you in a check. To do this, call us at (877) 237 6262 or simply log-in to your Bank Freedom Prepaid MasterCard card account online and click on "Request Funds." Once you verify your personal information, a check will be sent to you within 3 to 4 weeks. The fee for this is $14.95; this fee is for requesting a check not for withdrawing money at an ATM.

10. I've moved, how do I update my address with Bank Freedom?

11. Can I transfer money from my personal bank account to my Bank Freedom card account? Yes, you can authorize an ACH Transfer from your personal bank account or other financial institutions to your Bank Freedom card account and each month you perform an ACH transfer of $350 or more from your personal bank account to your Bank Freedom card account we will waive your monthly maintenance fee. 13. What is a Supplementary Card and how does it work? A Supplementary Card is a convenient and cost effective way to share money and empower family members with the ability to make purchases with their own personalized prepaid MasterCard. Bank Freedom primary card accounts can get up to three Supplementary Cards for their family members. There is a Supplementary Card issuance fee of $9.95 for each card. Each Supplementary Card has a maximum card account balance of $2,000. Funding your Supplementary Cards can only be done through a card-to-card transfer from the Primary Card account to your Supplementary Card accounts. There is a $1.00 Primary Card-to-Supplementary Card account transfer fee. There is no monthly maintenance fee for your Supplementary Cards, however, there is a $1.95 inactivity fee per month if there are zero transactions within a 45 consecutive day period.
